The Future

Several years ago, as I was listening to a message given by George Verwer, the Lord spoke to me and told me that by the time I was sixty five, I needed to hand over the leadership of Living Waters Church to someone younger. We shared this with our fellow church leaders and as we all prayed, it became clear to all of us that our son Daniel should be our successor. We then entered into a handing over process which culminated in the “Baton Change” which took place in November 2006.

We promised to be on hand for the first year so that the changeover could be smooth and that Daniel had us nearby. Since then we have continued to be committed to Living Waters and have responsibilities that are mentioned in “The Ministry” section.

This has now brought us to a time when we are free to respond to whatever God is calling us to do. We have twice been to Central Asia to support the work there, we regularly go to Nigeria, and also to Burundi and Rwanda. We are now free to accept invitations to minister in this country and abroad. We do not believe that there is retirement in the Kingdom of God, and still have a passion to see God at work and lives changed wherever we go.

Apart from this we have five married children living in various places around the world. Our eldest son Craig, married to Milena lives in Bulgaria and is working among Roma Gypsies. They are mentoring six gypsy churches and a football team drawn from one of the gypsy ghettos.

We have two of our children living nearby, Daniel and Tanya are fulltime leading the church. Our elder daughter Jo is married to Iain who is a Crown Prosecutor, they are also fully committed to the church Iain is one of our Trustees, and Jo works with our children’s programme. They are shortly to relocate to Cornwall as Iain has transferred to the CPA to concentrate on court work.

Our younger daughter Coralie is married to Jens who is a Four Square Church pastor leading a large and thriving church in Frankfurt. Our youngest son Ben, married to Anne, is an Aircraft Engineer who works with Mission Aviation Fellowship and are on their way to Australia and the major engineering base at Mareeba, near Cairnsm Northern Queensland.

Our children have managed to produce seventeen children between them, which is a joy and a challenge both to parents and grandparents.

So you can see that in addition to the ministry that God has called us to, we need to give adequate time to our children and grandchildren.

The scripture that is the motivation for our ministry is 2 Timothy 2:2 “And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will also be qualified to teach others.” Hence the name of our trust - “The 222 Trust”
